Information we handle

Accounts involve email, password handled by our authentication service, display name, optional telephone/emirate and account category. We handle vehicle specifications, prices, listing descriptions, actual photographs, saved vehicles, rental booking periods, contact number, notes and status. Enquiries, platform messages, listing/user reports and support requests may include name, email, mobile number, category, message and relevant references. Technical service records may include connection/error and security information. We do not require identity or driving-licence documents in the current platform forms.

Purpose and lawful handling

We use data to provide accounts, listings, search, messages, booking requests, customer support, moderation, security and legal obligations. Where applicable, processing relies on the appropriate contractual, legal, permitted legitimate purpose or consent basis; a service enquiry is not blanket consent to marketing. No compliance certification or unrestricted right to use data is claimed.

Access and sharing

Published listing data and a contact number intentionally supplied for the advertisement are visible to shoppers. Your unrelated private account/contact information is not a public directory. Selected counterparties see relevant conversations and booking information; authorized administrators access support and moderation records. Hosting, authentication and storage providers process necessary information to operate the service. Data may be disclosed to competent authorities when lawfully required. We do not sell personal data. Assess processor contracts, hosting locations and any international transfer safeguards before launch; do not assume all data is stored in the UAE.

Storage and security

Access controls protect private records and owner editing; car photographs are held in access-controlled storage and eligible listings use expiring links. Authentication and operational safeguards reduce risk but no system is risk-free. Do not put identity documents, private contact details of others or unnecessary sensitive information in public listings or support messages. Security incidents must be assessed and notifications made where applicable law requires.

Cookies and local storage

Essential session/browser storage supports sign-in. Saved searches are stored in your browser and account saves are stored for signed-in users. Optional visitor counting runs only after you allow it and honours browser Do Not Track. It stores a random browser identifier, public page category and visit time in our access-controlled service; only administrators read the totals. Search text, private account/staff pages and vehicle/profile identifiers are excluded. Counts describe consenting browsers, not verified people, and can include automated visits. Use Privacy choices in the footer to decline future counting; this removes the visitor identifier from your browser but does not automatically erase previously stored visit records. Contact SAYYAR for record-deletion requests. See the Cookie Policy.

Retention and your rights

Keep account/listing data while needed for the service; messages, bookings, support, reports and audit records may need retention for disputes, safety and applicable legal requirements. Retention is limited to those purposes, not indefinite reuse. The company must verify a documented retention/deletion schedule and any mandatory record periods before launch. Contact SAYYAR using the official contact details for applicable access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or consent-withdrawal requests. Identity verification may be necessary; deletion may be limited by lawful retention duties and other parties’ rights. Requests are handled within applicable legal time limits. No automated account deletion is promised.

Data-protection scope

Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection applies where within scope; relevant exemptions, free-zone regimes and GCC processing requirements need review. Privacy questions or complaints can be raised with SAYYAR and, where applicable, the competent authority.

Legal framework and verification

These policies are drafted with reference to applicable UAE law, including Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection (as amended), Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2023 Concerning Modern Technology-Based Trade and Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection where applicable. Rental and traffic requirements may also involve Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2024 on Traffic Regulation and the competent emirate authority. Mainland, free-zone and cross-border rules can differ. SAYYAR’s legal entity, commercial activity/licence, establishment, competent court, transaction model and emirate-specific obligations require professional UAE legal verification before commercial launch. These drafts are not a claim of legal certification. Mandatory statutory rights and obligations prevail over conflicting wording.
