Marketplace role
SAYYAR (سيّار) is an online automotive marketplace for discovering, advertising and enquiring about cars for sale and rent in the UAE and GCC. Buyers can discover listings from individuals and dealers; sellers and independent rental providers may advertise vehicles. SAYYAR is not automatically a vehicle owner, seller, buyer, rental provider, insurer or payment intermediary. Listing publication does not guarantee or endorse a vehicle or party.
Accounts and acceptable use
Provide accurate account and contact details, protect your credentials and use only accounts you are authorized to operate. Do not impersonate any person or company. You must have legal authority to advertise, sell or rent the vehicle. You are responsible for accurate specifications, prices, photographs, location and disclosures. Do not post fraudulent, stolen, duplicate, prohibited or misleading advertisements, spam or abusive communications.
Transactions, inspections and bookings
Unless SAYYAR explicitly offers and manages a particular transaction service under separate terms, users arrange inspection, documentation, payment, ownership transfer, delivery and their agreements directly. Independently verify vehicle identity, condition, ownership and authority to transact. Rental booking requests are not confirmed until the provider accepts them; availability may change before acceptance. Review the provider’s complete agreement and charges before requesting a booking. SAYYAR currently does not process customer payments or refunds.
Moderation and platform responsibilities
SAYYAR may review, request correction of, restrict or remove misleading or prohibited content and suspend marketplace activity, subject to applicable law. Report suspected fraud with relevant references. Moderation is not an ownership, licence or vehicle-condition guarantee. SAYYAR remains responsible for its own representations, services and applicable legal obligations; describing the service as a marketplace does not waive them.
Liability and disputes
Parties remain responsible for their own acts, contractual commitments and unlawful or inaccurate statements. No provision excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, or excuses fraud or other mandatory obligations. Platform availability is not guaranteed uninterrupted. Seek resolution with the relevant counterparty and contact SAYYAR for platform or moderation matters. If unresolved, parties may use the competent UAE consumer-protection authority or court. Applicable UAE federal law and the relevant emirate’s mandatory law apply to UAE transactions; governing jurisdiction and any GCC-specific obligations must be verified for the actual business establishment and transaction. No mandatory remedy is limited by these terms.

The published last-updated date identifies this version. Changes do not retrospectively alter agreed transaction terms or statutory rights. Review material changes before further use; any required notice or consent must be provided under applicable law.
Legal framework and verification
These policies are drafted with reference to applicable UAE law, including Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection (as amended), Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2023 Concerning Modern Technology-Based Trade and Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection where applicable. Rental and traffic requirements may also involve Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2024 on Traffic Regulation and the competent emirate authority. Mainland, free-zone and cross-border rules can differ. SAYYAR’s legal entity, commercial activity/licence, establishment, competent court, transaction model and emirate-specific obligations require professional UAE legal verification before commercial launch. These drafts are not a claim of legal certification. Mandatory statutory rights and obligations prevail over conflicting wording.
