Eligible car advertisements
Only cars for sale or rent may be listed. The advertiser must have lawful authority over the actual vehicle and provide accurate make, model, year, condition, mileage, location, price, contact details and relevant terms. Dealers and rental businesses must hold the permissions applicable to their actual activity; an account category is not proof of licensing.
Photos and disclosures
Upload genuine photographs of the advertised vehicle with permission to use them. Do not substitute unrelated cars, stolen images or misleading images. Disclose known material defects, significant repairs, accident history, relevant vehicle conditions and documentation limitations. Do not conceal mandatory fees or material restrictions. Avoid exposing registration documents or private information in photos.
Review and corrections
Advertisements may require administrator approval and changes may return them to review. Publication is not verification, guarantee or endorsement by SAYYAR. Keep availability and price current, remove or archive unavailable vehicles and do not evade moderation by reposting duplicates. Suspicious listings can be reported and reviewed; duplicate or suspicious signals require investigation rather than proof of fraud.
Legal framework and verification
These policies are drafted with reference to applicable UAE law, including Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection (as amended), Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2023 Concerning Modern Technology-Based Trade and Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection where applicable. Rental and traffic requirements may also involve Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2024 on Traffic Regulation and the competent emirate authority. Mainland, free-zone and cross-border rules can differ.
