Vehicle Return and Dispute Policy

Draft policy — professional UAE legal review pending.

Last updated:

Purchased vehicles

There is no automatic SAYYAR return guarantee. Any contractual return arrangement belongs to the buyer/seller agreement unless SAYYAR expressly manages a specific service. Inspect and independently verify before purchase. Misrepresentation, undisclosed material defects, cancellation and refunds must be addressed under applicable UAE law and the agreement; non-excludable consumer rights prevail over any “no return” wording.

Rental vehicle return

Return to the agreed place/time and follow the disclosed fuel, mileage, condition and lawful reporting requirements. Record the return condition with the provider and obtain acknowledgement where possible. Providers must disclose late-return, damage, deposit release and deduction conditions before booking and support disputed charges with evidence. No blanket platform fee or automatic damage conclusion applies.

Dispute handling

First contact the relevant seller/provider with the listing/booking reference, agreement, condition records and receipts. Use SAYYAR Contact Support for listing inaccuracies, account access, misconduct or assistance routing a complaint. SAYYAR may investigate platform reports and preserve relevant records; it does not automatically adjudicate ownership, guarantee a refund or replace an authority/court. Do not publish private identity documents in reports. Unresolved consumer matters may be raised with the competent consumer-protection authority; suspected criminal fraud should go to the relevant authority. Applicable rights and time limits remain unchanged.

Legal framework and verification

These policies are drafted with reference to applicable UAE law, including Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection (as amended), Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2023 Concerning Modern Technology-Based Trade and Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection where applicable. Rental and traffic requirements may also involve Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2024 on Traffic Regulation and the competent emirate authority. Mainland, free-zone and cross-border rules can differ. SAYYAR’s legal entity, commercial activity/licence, establishment, competent court, transaction model and emirate-specific obligations require professional UAE legal verification before commercial launch. These drafts are not a claim of legal certification. Mandatory statutory rights and obligations prevail over conflicting wording.
