Prohibited Listings and Fraud Policy
Draft policy — professional UAE legal review pending.
Last updated:
Prohibited conduct
Do not advertise stolen/nonexistent cars, misrepresent ownership or authority, alter identity/mileage or essential specifications misleadingly, conceal known material conditions, use unrelated or stolen photos, impersonate people/businesses, or create duplicate ads to bypass review. Spam, harassment, phishing, forged documents and requests designed to steal money or account access are prohibited. Only cars for lawful sale or rent belong on SAYYAR.
Safety before payment
Do not transfer money before independently verifying the vehicle and seller. Inspect the actual vehicle and verify authority and documents. Beware pressure to pay urgent deposits, unrealistic claims, off-platform credential requests or unverifiable escrow/shipping stories. Do not disclose passwords or one-time codes. A published listing, approval or SAYYAR logo is not an ownership/condition guarantee.
Reporting and investigation
Use Report Listing on a vehicle or Contact Support to report a user with the relevant profile/listing reference. Provide facts without posting sensitive documents publicly. Authorized administrators can review reports, account activity and review signals, request corrections and restrict/remove prohibited content. Duplicate/suspicious-content indicators are triage cues, not proof of fraud. Reports are treated privately and relevant information is accessed only for permitted investigation purposes. Contact the competent authority for suspected crime or immediate danger; do not rely solely on platform moderation.
Legal framework and verification
These policies are drafted with reference to applicable UAE law, including Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection (as amended), Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2023 Concerning Modern Technology-Based Trade and Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection where applicable. Rental and traffic requirements may also involve Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2024 on Traffic Regulation and the competent emirate authority. Mainland, free-zone and cross-border rules can differ. SAYYAR’s legal entity, commercial activity/licence, establishment, competent court, transaction model and emirate-specific obligations require professional UAE legal verification before commercial launch. These drafts are not a claim of legal certification. Mandatory statutory rights and obligations prevail over conflicting wording.
