Buying and Selling Policy
Draft policy — professional UAE legal review pending.
Last updated:
Seller responsibilities
You must be authorized to sell the actual vehicle, use truthful descriptions and actual photos, and disclose known material defects, accident history and relevant condition. Fake, stolen, duplicate or misleading advertisements are prohibited. Do not impersonate owners/dealers or misstate vehicle documents, mileage, warranty or price. Any dealer obligations under applicable consumer law remain the dealer’s responsibility.
Buyer verification
Independently inspect the vehicle, consider a qualified third-party inspection, and verify ownership, vehicle identity, documents and the seller’s authority before paying. Do not transfer money before independently verifying both vehicle and seller. Listing publication is not a guarantee or endorsement of condition or ownership by SAYYAR.
Payment and transfer
Buyer and seller agree the price, payment arrangement, delivery and lawful transfer procedure with the relevant vehicle/licensing authority. SAYYAR does not currently collect vehicle purchase payments or automatically supply a sale contract or return guarantee. Keep written agreements, disclosures and payment records. Misrepresentation, defects, cancellation or refund disputes are governed by the parties’ agreement and applicable UAE law, without excluding statutory consumer rights.
Suspicious advertisements
Use Report Listing or Contact Support with the listing reference. SAYYAR reviews suspicious reports and may request correction, restrict accounts or remove prohibited content. Urgent suspected theft, financial fraud or threats should also be referred to the competent authority; platform reporting does not replace that route.
Legal framework and verification
These policies are drafted with reference to applicable UAE law, including Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection (as amended), Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2023 Concerning Modern Technology-Based Trade and Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection where applicable. Rental and traffic requirements may also involve Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2024 on Traffic Regulation and the competent emirate authority. Mainland, free-zone and cross-border rules can differ. SAYYAR’s legal entity, commercial activity/licence, establishment, competent court, transaction model and emirate-specific obligations require professional UAE legal verification before commercial launch. These drafts are not a claim of legal certification. Mandatory statutory rights and obligations prevail over conflicting wording.
